Welcome!

Independent Speech is a speech-language therapy private practice. We provide speech therapy to children through home health care. All our services are provided in your home or other agreed upon location. Working in a familiar, comfortable environment helps our students relax which helps motivate them to participate in therapy activities and helps to promote progress.

At Independent Speech, we work with the following disorders either in isolation or in conjunction with additional communication, congenital or acquired disorders:

At this time, we do not work with feeding or swallowing disorders.

Our Services

Comprehensive Evaluations

We provide comprehensive evaluations that assess expressive language, receptive language, articulation, voice, fluency and pragmatic skills. We are able to customize the evaluation to target specific areas of concern above and beyond the standard comprehensive evaluation. These areas may include; auditory processing, phonological awareness, word finding, etc.

On-Going Therapy:

We provide on-going speech-language therapy services. We offer flexible scheduling and session length to best meet your child's needs. Each therapy session is designed to engage and motivate your child while working on their specific goals. We also provide practice activities to work on between therapy sessions to help promote progress and to carryover skills learned in therapy.

All our Speech-Language Pathologists are licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services and certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.

Our Speech Pathologists have worked in schools, acute care hospitals, children's hospitals and in private practice throughout the Phoenix metro area.

Each of our Speech Pathologists are dedicated to providing the highest quality therapy. We work with you and your family to ensure understanding of your child's speech-language therapy needs and how the therapy activities will benefit your child.
